April 10, 1978
Special meeting of the Kent City Council was called to order at
7: 00 o 'clock p.m. Present: Mayor Hogan, Councilpersons Carey,
B. Johnson, J. Johnson, Just, Kitto and McCaughan, City Adminis-
trator Street, City Attorney Mirk, Public Works Director Ulett &
Planning Director Harris . Councilperson Masters was absent. Also
present: URS representative Ramsey, City Engineer Wickstrom, and
Deputy Fire Chief Freelove.
HEALTH & SANITATION
Harold Hill Sewer Line Acceptance. Mayor Hogan noted that the pur-
pose of the meeting was to discuss acceptance of the Hill sewer line.
J. JOHNSON MOVED that the item be removed from the table, McCaughan
seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
It was noted that the following motion was adopted at the Council
meeting of January 16, 1978 : "To accept the URS report which shows
that the 15 inch line has the capacity of serving 167 acres and
that Hill ' s lines be accepted as City sewer lines after approval
by DOE and Metro. "
Acceptance has been approved by Metro. DOE, while not approving
after the fact, has reviewed the plans and it is obvious that the
construction is proper.
McCAUGHAN MOVED that the Hill Sewer lines be accepted as Kent lines,
Kitto seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
The special meeting was adjourned at 7: 08 p.m.
