With reference to the Council minutes for the February 22 , 1977
meeting, the City Clerk makes the following statement:
Prior to this Council meeting, at the request of the Parks
Department, the City Clerk' s office made a search of the offi-
cial public records. The Parks Department was notified that
there was no record of a prior Six Year Capital Improvement
Plan for the Parks Department. The following excerpt from the

"Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan. It was
noted that a letter of partial acceptance of the
Kent Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Plan has been
received from IAC and that until a Six-Year Capital
Improvement Plan is submitted, any requests for IAC
Funds will be placed in a "technically incomplete"
category. The Council was advised that the Parks
Department is presently working on the Six-Year Plan
which will be submitted to the Council at a later
date for adoption. "
No further reference to the Plan was made from May 20, 1974 to
the adoption of the Six Year Capital Improvement Plan on February
22, 1977.
Mr. Wilson' s reference to a prior plan is incorrect.
