Minutes of the. meeting of September 16, last, read. and annroved. Clerks report,' Police report, Fire Pent. report and Health Officer report and Budget report, for Sentember, orer-ented and filed. City Attorney -reported that lot 26, dock 2, Cross Addition,*gas sold through errot in the forclosure proceedings just had and upon motion the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to convey back to Mr. F. Eftards, the same to corect the error. Mr. Bassett reported on the visit of the Attorney and City Clerk to Olympia and the Council, upon motion, adopted the following reso- lution, in relation to the same: WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Kent, Washington, on the 26 day of September,-1929, filed with the Department of Public Lands, at Olympia, an application of the City of Kent to overflor the bed and shores of -Lake Sawyer, in King County, Washington, under serial No. 13730: IT IS RESOLVED by the City of Kent, at a regular meeting of the Council, held at the City Mall, in bent, WashinZton, this the 7th. day of October, 1929, that the action of the City Clerk in such p rocs eeding, be and the same is hereby approved, and that the Water Com- mittee, togather with the City Clerk, take such action as may be nec- essary or proper in the matter of said application, and make due rep- ort thereof to the City Council. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council, that the City of Vent obtains its water supply from springs adjacent to Lake Sawyer, and that the requirements of the water system of the City demand that at some future time the said city, in order to obtain an adequate sup- ply of water, will have to exted its nine lines to conect directly with Lake Sawyer, and that at the present time, it is necessary that the city acquire the right to control the storage of water in said Lake Sawyer to sustain the sunnly of 1-ater for its springs. A street lip -lit was ordered installed at Guiberson & Kennebeck. Ordinances Nos. 590, Adopting the Budget; 591, Fixing the Tax Levy; 592, Authorizing School Patrol and 593, Approving Assessment Roll for Dist. No. 225, were read and upon motion each were placed upon its final passage and carried by the unsnimous vote of all of the Council- men present.
