Kent , Washington, June 17 , 1929.
Regular meeting of the City Council; Present Mayor Murker and Coun-
cilmen Boucher, Dunbar, Johnson and Leach.
Minutes. of the meeting of June 3 , last , read and approved.
Clerks report and the Budget report for Lay presented and filed.
Atty. reported on the claim of the Cent . Service Station, recomen-
ding that the bill be paid as c6rected, ($82.21) , and a motion to
adopt the report was lost. A motion was then made to pay the claim
as presented , ($93.60) ► this motion ras also lost .
The Fire Dept . recomended the apointinent of J. B. Sparks as Fire-
man , to take the place of J. Zigler , resigned, upon motion the rec-
omendation was adopted.
Ordinance No. 587 , providing for the improvement of certain streets
as
placedtuponniits final mpassage of eand et lcarried`Mby the unanimous motion and upon
unanimous vote of
all of the Councilmen present .
An application was made to purchase lot 1 , blk. 2, yeslers First
Addition, and the Finance Committee was directed to set a price for
the lot and given power to act .
