Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Murker and Coun- cilmen Boundy, Boucher , Boyker , Coleman , Konschot , Overlock & Wooden. Minutes of May 6th. last , read and approved. Police report for April presented and filed. The City Attorney reported upon the title to property at corner of First and Titus , and upon motion the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sighn an agreement with H. M. Shaffer for a party wall. 150 ft. of 8" the was ordered placed on Titus street E. and 60 ft . of 12" tile on Central No. by the High School. Dr. Taylor made a request for a new water line from his correction to the main from the large reservoir. account of insufficient presure , and upon motion the city agreed to furnish the pipe , he to lay it. Several comunications read and filed. The City Engineer presented his resignation , to take effect June 1 , , next , and upon lhotion the same was accepted. Engineer filed certificate of acceptance for the F. Titus street Grading, Dist . 224. A remonstrance against the placing of a garbage dump at the south end of Third street , was read , and upon motion it was decided to have no garbage dump inside of the City limits . A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO mAKE IMPROV NIENT , was read and adopted as follows:- RESOLUTION NO. 225. IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent , State of Washington , that it does hereby declare its intention to improve . Meeker street from- the east marginal line of the Chicago Milwaukee and St .Paul right of way to Central Avenue; and Central Avenue south of meeker street to Titus street and First Avenue from Meeker street to Titus street; By installing an ornamental street lighting system along each side of said named-streets , consisting of poles , standards, wires , conduits and conections, and doing such other work in correction there- with as may be necessary, all in accordance with plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the City Engineer. That all persons who may desire to object to said improvement are hereby notified to -appear and present such objection at-'a meetinf of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers , in the City Hall , at 8 o 'clock p.m. , -on the 17th. day of June , 1929 , which time and place is hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said imnrovement , and all objections thereto , and for determining the method of payment for said improvement. That the City Clerk is directed to submit to the City Council at or prior to said date , all data and information required by law to be so submitted. That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the property liable therefor as provided by law. Comunication from P.S.P.& L.
