Kent , Washington, Trarch 4 , 1929 .
Reguhar meeting of the City Council; present 14ayor f5urker and
Councilmen Poundy , Royker, Konschot and zFTooden.
Minutes of the meeting of February 18 , read and approved .
Police report for February and the Budget report for January pres-
ented and filed.
Committee on Building Ordnance reported progress.
It was decided , upon motion, that First street and bad placed on
any other paved streets be repared with "Amiesite" .
Upon motion it was decided to plant maple trees around reservoir
No. 4.
Acceptance of the gals franchise , granted by oiddinance No. 582 ,
was presented and filed.
Ordinance' No. 585 , vacating alley in block 11 , W.C.I .Co !s First
Addition to Rent , was read and upon motion -placed upon its final
passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the. Councilmen
present .
Ordinance No. 586 , authorizing bond issue for L. I .D.TTo . 224, was
read and upon motion placed upon its final rassage and carried by
the unanimous vote of tkall of the Councilmen present.
Upon motion the taxes were ordered paid upon lots 5 & 6 , block 1 ,
. City View Addition ,and upon lot 1 , block 2 , Yeslers First Addition.
Rids for Bass were opened and upon motion the contract tolfL�rnish
the city with Bass and oil for the year i^as awarded to the Central
Service Station at 4 cts . below the -prevaling price .for gals and
80 ots . per gallon for veddol oil.
