August , presented and filed.

Addition, refered to the City- Attorney for investigation and report .
Resolution No: 222 A. seeting time for hearing on roll , read and
adopted as follows:
IT IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF RF" CITY OF K7,YT:
That the 5th. day of November , 1928 , at the hour of 8 o'clock p.r.. ,
st the Council Chambers in the City I1611., at Kent , Tashington, be and
the same is fixed as the time and place for hearing on the "4e sessment
roll for Local Improvement District No. 222 , building of sewer in
block. 17 , W.C.I .Co 's First Addition to Kent . Washington.
That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish in the
official newspaper of the City of Kent , notice thereof as required by
law and the ordinances of the said City.
Resolution No.. 223 A. setting time for hearing on roll , read and
adopted as follows:
IT IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF. KENT:
That the 5th. day of November, 1928, at the hour of 8 o'clock p .IL#
at the Council Chambers in the City Hall , at Kent , Washington, be and
the same is fixed as the time and place for Dearing on the assessment
roll for Local Improvement District No. 223 , ' paving one block of Sec.
and Avenue So. between Saar and Willie Streeb, 'Kent , Washington.
That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish -in the
official newspaper of the City of Kent , notice thereof as required by
law and the ordinances of the said City.
RESOLUTION No, 2.24, read and adopted as follows:
IT IS' RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' RENT, that it do '
and it does hereby declare its intention of improving Titus Street ,-
from Scebic Way to Kennebeck Avenue, by grading and graveling -the same
placing the necessary drainage therein, and establishing a uniform -
grade therefor, and doing such other work- as may be necessary -in -con-
ection therewith, all in accordbince with plans and specifications to
be prepared by the City Engineer.
That all persons who may desire to object to the said improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting
of the City Council , to be held in the Council Chambers , in the City
Hall of Kent , at 8 o'clock P.M, on the FIFTH DAY OF NOVEMBER. 1928,
which time and place is hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said improvement , and all objections 'thereto , and for
determining the method of payment for said improvement .
That the City Clerk is directed to submit to the City Council at,
or prior to said date , all data and information required by law to be
so submitted.
That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by
and assessed against the property liable therefor as provided by law.
Ordinance No. 575, adopting the budget for the year 1929 , read
and KRUZU upom motion placed upon its final passage and carried
by tie unanimous vote of -all of the Councilmen present.
Ordinance No. 576 , fixing the tax levy for the year 1929 , read
and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried by the
unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present .

RESOLUTION accepting deed to Alpine Way was read and adopted as
follows:
RESOLVED by the City Council of he City of Kent , that it does
hereby accept a strip of land 20 feet in width through Alvords unre-
corded plat of Kent , as described in deed of I . T. Alvord and Wife
to City of Kent , dated Sept . 4th. 1928, and recorded in County Rec-
ords in volume 1406 , p4ge 323, as a public street to be known as
Alpine Way.
No. further business appearing the meeting, upon motion,
did then adjurn.
