City Att'y Fassett reported on the Ilovrley property suit and sale of pr.ope-rty in foreclosure ?proceedings, presenting deeds which upon motion v,ere accepted and ordered recorded. RESOLUTION 'H1U. 222, declaring intention to rriahv XFin-MA imp- rovenl.ent ; vras .read and adopted as follows: IT IS -RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bent, State Of r'a,;hinj-;ton, that it do and it does hereby declare its intention of improving the alley r.unnirii; north and south through block 17 of V'ashir _;ton Central Irnproverient Cornpanys First Addition to Kent, between Pioneer and Smith Streets, by constructing and laying a six (6) inch lateral severer through said alley at the intersection of said alley Wit.Yr. 13ioneer street and conecting vrith the trunk Sevrer on Smith Street, and doing such other work as rna,y be necessary in conection,therewith, all in accordance with plans and specifications to be. prepared by the City Engineer. That all persons vrho gray desire to object to the said improve- r;ent are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting_ of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in K'errt, at 8 o'clock P.M., on the 4-th. day of September, 1928, which time and place is hereby fixed for the hear- ing of all matters relating to said improvement, and all objections thereto, and for determining I;he method for the payment of said improvement. That trre City Clerk, is directed to submit to the City Council at or prior to said date, all data and information required by law to be so submitted. That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and .assessed against the property liable therefor as provided by lavir. RESOLUTION NO. 223, declaring intention to make improvement, v.ra.s read and adopted as follows: IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of bent, state of V"ashin!ton, that it do and it does hereby declare its intention of improving Second Avenue Soutp, from Saar to 71i.11is streets, by by paving that portion of said street from its junction i7ith the south line of Saar street, and conecting with. the paving at that point, to the north line of V!illis street, with a twenty foot con- crete paving; and doing such other v7ork in conection therev,ith., all in accordance Y,ith plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer. Upon motion it eras ordered that approx. 100 ft. of the old pipe, out on the Black Diamond road be taken up for drain on Naden and Willis streets, and the Eng. eras ordered to give the grade for a drain at that place. No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion, did then adjurn. City Clerk.
