Kent , Washington , March 5, 1928 .
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Murker & Coun-
cilmen .Boundy, Boucher , Coleman, KonsGhot , Overlock , Va4 Hoosen and
7ooden.
Minutes of the meeting of February 20th. read and approved.
Police report for .February and .the Treasurers report for January ,
presented and filed.
Building Committee reported on chairs for the Council Chamber and
the matter was refered back with power to act .
Building Committee and City Attorney were instructed to prepare
rules and regulations for the use of the Council Chambers by the
public .
Bids ewre received and opened for the refinishing of the City Hall
as follows; W. W. Bear, $266 .00 , Beach Roberts , $345.00 and Harvey
Williams , h216.00 .
.Upon motion the contract was awarded to Harvey 77illi.ams for the
sum of $216.00.
Upon recomendation of the Fire Dept . Harry Charles was made a mem-
ber of the Department , in place of Nels Rasmussen , Resigned.
Ordinance No. 570 , designating Arterial Highways and providing a
penalty for its violation , was read and upon motion placed upon its
final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Coun-
cilmen present .
