Kent , Washington, December 5, 1927 •
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Murker, and
Councilmen Boundy , Boucher , Konschot , Overlock, VanHoosen and Wooden.
Minutes of the meeting of November 21st . .read and approved.
Clerks report , , Police report and 11.0. report for the month of
November , presented and filed .
City Attorney reported for the Finance Committee, on the matter of
the contract with Tucker , Hyland & Elvedge and Mr. Bassett was inst-
ructed to have an understanding with them as soon as possiable .
RESOLUTION_ SETTING TIME FOR HEARING ON THE ASSESSMENT ROLL for
Local Improvement District No. 221 , was read and adopted as follows:
IT IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OC KENT: That the
nd . day of January , 1928 , at the hour of 8 o'clock P X, at the Coun-
cil Chambers in the City Hall , at Kent , Washington, be and the same
is fixedas the time and place for hearing on the assessment roll for
Local Improvement District No. 221 , for the improvement of Central
Avenue by paving.
That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish in the
Official Newspaper of the City of Knet , notice thereof as required by
law and the ordinances of the said City.

Upon motion it was decided that the City would furinsh the juice
for for 7 or 8 new lights on Central Avenue if the property owners
put in the fixtures and pools.
The matter of a crossing at State and Gowe was refered to the
Street Committee for investi-gation and report .
Bids for city printing were opeden and read as folows;
Kent Valley News , 22 cts and 12 cts.; Trent Advertiser Journal , 15 cts.
and 10 cts. , the contract was awarded to the Kent Advertiser Journal ,
as beI ng the best and lowest bid.
Upon motion the lowering of the water mains at Lake Meridian and
just east of the large reservoir , was authorized to begin soon after
the First of the Year.
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion, did
then adjurn.
