Minutes of the meeting of June 20th. read and approved . Police , Health 'Officers and Fire Dept . reports for the month of June jurasented and filed. Street Committee reported, recornending the purchase of six WWl step signs , recomendation adopted and signs ordered purchased. Finance Committee reported that $�3000.00 Fire Dept . Bonds had been sold to help replenish the P .R.W. Fund. Resolution No . 217 A, setting time for hearing on the assessment roll for Local Imp. Dist . No. 217 , waa read and adopted as follows. IT IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT: That the 1st . day of August , 1927 , at the hour of 6 o' clock P .M. , at " the Council Chambers in the City Ball , at Kent , 71ashington, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing on the assessment roll for local improvement district No. 217 , .for the improvement of certain ;streets and alleys in Clarks First and Sec- ond Additions to Kent and other unplated property , by placing lateral sewers therein. That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish in the official newspaper of the City of Kentm notice thereof as required by law and the ordinances of the said City. No . 218 , opened and read as follows; Fox & McNaughton $879 .40 N. T. Barnes .$812.50 , Shaughessy & Co. $827 .50 and Joe Coluccio Co . $935.00; upon motion the bid of Mr . N.T.Barnes , as lowest bid, was accepted and the contract was award- ed to Mr. Barnes for the sura of $812.50 . 275 The Water Committee reported recomending the laying of a 4" eater Main and the installing of a Fire Plug on Hazel street as far north as Irx. Olivers house and upon motion the recomendation was adopted and the main and fire plug ordered in. Matter of water extention on Cent Avenue , north of the City limits , was refered to the Plater Committee for investigation and report . ,Tatter of a sideralk on Railroad Avenue , north of smith street , was refered to the Street Committee for investigation. Upon motion it was ordered that the Police Officers be allowed 2 weeks vacation, 'rith ?pay. No further busfness appearing the meeting , upon motion , did then adjurn. City Clerk. r i
