Regular meeting of the City. _Council; present Mayor Berlin and Coun- cilmen Boundy, Boucher, Coleman, Konschot , Coleman and Wooden. Minutes of the meeting of March 7 , last , read and approved. budget report for February presented and filed. Ratter of a new drain on Central Avenue North referred to the Dr- aninage Committee and the City Engineer, with poorer to act . Resolution vacating alley on block 5, O.P.Kent , read and adopted as follows: IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent , that on the petition of E.'N, .Engstrom and Louie Jacobson, being the owners of all of the property abutting on either side of the alley runing th- rough block 5, of the Original Plat of Kent , the description of said property being lots 1 ,2 ,3 ,12 ,13,14, in said block 5, of which E. W. Engstrom is the alleged owner , and lots 4 , 5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10 ,11 of said block 5, of which Louie Jacobson is the alledged owner; and the said alleged owners having petitioned for the vacation of the alley run- ing the said block 5 , from Russell street south to Morton street , that the said petition be received , and that all persond who may de- sire to object to the said vacation, are hereby notified to file the same with the City Clerk, or to appear and present such objections at a meeting of. the City Council to be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Kent , at 8 o' clock p.m. , on the 18th. day of .Ap- ril , 1927 , which time and -place is hereby fixed for the hearing of . all matters relating to said vacation and all objections thereto. That the City Clerk is directed to give notice of the time and place of -said hearing as required by law. Ordinance No. 557 , providing for the improvement of certain st- reets by -placing lateral sewers therein, in Clarks ist ., and 2nd. /addition, was read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
