Kent , Washington, October 18, 1926.
Gegular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Kerlin and Coun-
cilmen Boundy, Boucher, Coleman, Konschot , Marsh and Wooden.
Minutes of the meeting of October 4th. read and approved.
Treasurers report for month of September presented and filed.
Upon motion it was decided to buy lots 1 & 2 block 7 , W.C.I C
ol
First Addition; from- the County, for $52.45, in order to save the 1
loss of the Del. Assessments .
Contract• to employ Tucker, Hyland & Everege as additional Counsel I
for colection of Del. Local Assmts. , read, adopted and ordered sign- j
ed by the Mayor and Clerk.
Resolution No. 217 , declaring intention to improve certain streets
by building lateral sewer, read and adppted, as follows:
It is resolved by the City Council of the City of Kent , in King Co. ,
State of Washington, that it do and it does hereby declare its in-
tention of- improving Clark Street , Jason Street and Prospect Street ,
from the south marginal line of James street , Temperance street , '
from the center of Calhoun Way to a junction with Clark street , Cal-
houn Play from the center of Temperance street to the center of Smith
street , and Smith street from the south end of Calhoun Way to a Jun- '
ction with- the south termini of Clark street by placing a inch
lateral sewer . runing north and south in the alley through blosks 2
and 3 of Clarks second Addition, and through the alley runing north
and south through blocks 1 and 4 of Clarks first Addition, and on
through Calhoun Way from a junction with Temperance street to Smith
street , and on Smith street from Calhoun Way to a junction with
Clark street; and doing such other work as may be necessary in cone-
etion therewith, all in accordance with plans and specifications to
be prepared by the City Engineer.
That all persons who may desire to object to the said improvement
are hereby -notified to appear and present such objections at a meet-
ing of the -City Council to be held in the Council Chambe rb, in the
City IIall ; •in the City of Kent , at 8 , o'clock p.m. on the 15th. day
of November, 1926 , which time and place is hereby fixed .for the hear-
ing of all matters relating 'to said improvement, and -all objections
thereto , aild .detremining the method of payment of said improvement.
That the City Clerk is directed to submit the .the .City Council at or
prior to said date , all data and information required by law to be I
so submitted.
That the cost and expense of the said improvement shall be borne
by and assessed against the property liable therefor- as provided
by 1•aw.
