Kent , Washington, September 21 , 1925.
Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Berlin and Council-
men Boundy, Boueher,Coleman, ,Overlock and Wooden.
Minute$ of the meeting of ,September 8th. read and approved.
Treasurers report for the month of August and Budget report for the
month August presented and filed.
Applicatign of A. J. Corbin for transfer of license to Miniker and
Johnson read and refered to the License Committee.
Ordinance No. 544, providing for the protetion of Fire Aparatus,
read and upom motion placed upon its final passage and carried by
the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present.
City Attorney reported, re,comending the rejection of the claim of
Mrs. Truher, for damages , and upon motion the claim was rejected.
Application for vacation of alley in block 1 , Guiberson Addition
to Kent , .read and the following resolution was presented and upon
motion adopted as read;
WHEREAS H. B. Madison has filed a petition with the Clerk of the
City of Kent, and presented the same to the City Council in regular
session, this the 21st . day of September, 1925, which petition asks
for the vacation of the alley running through Block 1 , of Guibersons
Addition to Kent , in King County, Washington, and it appearing that-
the owners of more than two-thirds of the property abtting upon
the said .alley have signed the said petition:
NOW •THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED that the time for hearing said peti-
tion be and is fixed for the 19th. day o.f October, 1925, at the hour
of 8 o'clock P.M. , in the Council Chamber in the City Hall , at. the
City of Kent,
Upon i4otion the City Attorney was instructed with the foreclosure
proceedings of Delinquent L. I. D. Assessments.
The City Clerk was , upon motion, instructed to sign contract for
fuel oil ,. for the City Hall , at $1.80, or less.
