Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Leppert and Councilmen Boundy, Murker, Marsh, Morris and Woodley. Councilman Hallock coming in later. Minutes of August 4th. read and approved. Budget report for the month of July presented and filed. Protest was read from Mr. James Hatt on the assessment of Lots 11 & 12, for sidewalk, in L. I . D. No. 184, and upon motion of Coun- cilman Murker the matter was refered to the City Attorney and the City Engineer. Petition for more Fire Hydrants and equi)dpment , signed by 49 business men and citizens , was read and refered to the Finance Comme6ty for investigation. CLAIMS READ AND ALLOWED AS FOLLOWS: J. R. Berlin Janitors Sup. .65 Advertiser-Journal Printing 39.05 Upon motion of Councilman Woodley the matter of declaring an "Emergency" for new fire hose was refered to the Fire Committee. Upon motion of Councilman Boundy the action of the Council at - the last meeting in reguard to dumping grounds was recinded, and the City Clerk .was directed to notify Libby McNeal and the Lettus Houses to clean up or destroy with quick lime -the garbage that had been dumpted at the old county gravel pit . The City Engineer was directed to investigate and report at the next meeting the matter of garbage dispossal. Upon motion of Councilman Woodley the dumping of garbage on the city property on the cemetary hill was prohibited for the present. No further .business appearing the meeting, upon motion, did then adjurn. Ci y Clerk.
