Kent , Washington , Nov. 5, 1923.
Regular meeting of the City Council; present Mayor Leppert and Coun-
cilmen Hallock, Murker , Moor and Marsh; Councilman Boundy coming in later,
Minutes of October the 15, read and approved.
Clerks report , the report of the Chief of Police and Mr. Bottings
work report for the month of October , .read and filed.
Light Com. reported on condition of the St . Lights , and numerous
requests for lights were discussed, and lapon motion the Light Co. was
requested to move the light at the west end of Shinn street inside of
the City Limits.
Claims were read and allowed as follows:

W.C.T .U.Ladies spoke to the Council , requesting a Cirfew and upon
motion of Councilman Boundy the Night Police was directed to use the
fire Sirene , comencing next Monday evening.
Upon motion of Councilman Hallock the Mayor and Clerk were instructect
to sign up contract with the Standard Oil Co . for Fuel Oil , at $1.52
per Barrel .
It was moved by Councilman Woodley that the matter of a drain south
of Crow Street be refered to the Drainage Committee , Carried.
No further business appearing the Iteeting, upon motion, did then
adjurm.
