Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Leppert and Coun -
cilmen Boundy, Rallock, Murker,.Moore, Marsh and Woodley.
Minutes of September 17th. .read and approved.
Reprot of the Police Department, .for the Month of September, .read
and ordered filed.
Ordinance No. 518, providing for the levying of a 4/'15' tax on the
Water System, in favor of the Cur. Exp. F►znd, was read and upon motion
placed upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all
of the Councilmen present.
The following resolution was read and adopted unanimously.
IT IS RESOLVED BY TITS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENT:
That $16000.00 be borrowed from the Water Fund of the City, in favor
of the Current Expense Fund, to pay indebtedness of the said Current
Expense Fund to the Water Fund:
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proceeds of the 41'15 tax per annum
levied on the water system by Ordinance No. 518, be and the same is
hereby applied, so far as necessary, towards the payment of indebted-
ness of the Current Expense Fund to the Water Fund.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that as soon and as often as funds are ava-
ilable in the treasury, the Treasurer be and he is hereby amthorized
and directed to purchase for investment the general obligation water
bonds of the city, now held by the State of Washington to the principal
amount of $18000.00.
Ordinance No. 519, adopting the tax budget, for the year 1924, was
read and upon motion placed upon its fima� passage and carried by the
unanimous vote of all of the Council present.
Ordinance No. 520, fixing the tax levy for the year 1924, was read
and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried by the unan-
imous vote of 611 of the Councilmen present.
A comunication .from the Treasurer, naming; his depositories, was read
and placed on file.

Upon motion tt was decide that the alley in the Alvord Addition,
opening off.of Scenic Way, between W.,H. Overlock jr place and the
place of Mrs Keller, be closed, to prevent posable damage.
Upon motion the sign, recently erected upon the park property,
was ordered removed.
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion, did then
adjurn.
