Regular meeting of the Council: present Iti2ayor Leppert and Council-
men Hallock , Murker , IaZorrill , Naden , Thompson and Woodley.
11inutes of May 7th. read and approved.
Report of Chief of Police , for April , read and filed.
Comunication from County Health Officer read and filed.
Resolution on the care and use of the Council Chamber rea3a .and
adopted as follovis:
IT IS .RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Kent , that the
City Hall Council Room, may be used .at such times as it is not being
occupied for council meetings , for any public meeting of citizens , or
any society, or organization, for meetings of some public nature , and
that no charge shall be Trade for the .use of the same , and .provided,
that there shall be no admission fee charged , or any colection or
other source of revenue required by. those in attendance .
That the City Clerk and the Building; Coimittee are hereby given
authority to let said room as herein designated.
A Resolution authorizing the City Treasurer to accept payment of
assessments c,as read and adapted as follows:
TI IS RESOLVED by the City Council od the City of Kent , that the
City Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized to accept payment of the.

original amount o assessment entered against the following described
property , in Local Improvement Dist . Wo . 122 , for sidewalk improvement ,
togather with one years interest thereon , at 8 % , and the payment of
said amount to cancel and discharge the said property from the lien of
said assessment; lot 8 blk. 16 , 17.C. I .Co ' s First Add . to Kent , ��23.00
and lot 14, Blk. 16 , 1".C. I .Yo ' sFirst Add . to Kent , $23 .00.
A resolution amending the 1923 budget w4s read and adopted as follow
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Dent , the the budget
for the year begi,ning Jan. 1 , 1923 , be amended , by transfering, the ,
amounts , hereinafter named , from the several departments named to the
Water Department ,, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to make the
transfers on his .books of account , as follows:
From the Fire Department to the `1,Tater Department $1000 .00; from the
Department of Health to the Water Department $g2000.00 , and form the
Street Department to the Water Department $2000 .00.
A Resolution transfe.ring funds was read znd adppedd as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent , that the amt .
of $200.00 be transfered from the Library Fund to the Current Expense
Fund , to reimburse that fund for moneys advanced.
Claims read and allowed as follows:

Upon motion of Councilman Naden the Council went on ' record as. being
in favor of a small charge for use of the Auto Camp;, the Park Board
to fix the charges.
No further business appearing the meeting , upon motion, did then
adjurn.
