Kent , VIashint;ton, February 19 , 1923.
Regular meeting of the Council; present 1•=ayor Leppert and Coun-
cilmen Hatt , Murker , Naden and Thompson; Councilmen Morrill and
Woodley coming in later.
Minutes of the meetint>; of February 5 , read and approved.
Clerks report for the month of January read an6 filed.
Openion of the City Attorney on the matter of board for city
prisoners , at the county jail , read and the claim of the 0herif,
to the amount of $75.00 , for board at the stockade was allowed.
City Engineer reported on the matter of reparing the large res-
ervoir , and Mr. Thompson , Contractor , submitted specifications and
prices on the same . Upon. motion a contract was ordered drawn and
signed by the Mayor and Clerk accepting contractors proposition No.
2 , for the relining of the reservoir.
Water Committee reported recomending hydrant at the intersection
of First and Clowdey , and upon motion the same was ordered placed
as soon as convenient after April 1 , next .
Upon motion the City Engineer was authorized to purchase a bronze
plate for the City Hall; vrith date of erection, names of officials
& ect . enscribed thereon.
Comunication from the "Womens Improvement Club" , in reguard to
"Arbor and Garden Week" , read.; no action taken.
Library requested permission to have a Y,ail Shoot placed in the
door to the Library and the same was refered to the Building Corn.
with pourer to act .
Upon motion the requisition me6hod of ordering supplyes was
ordered to be put into effect , and no supplyes to be ordered or
paid f" r with out a requisition.

Upon motion the Mayor was requested to order the Sprinkling
Wagon returned.
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion , did
then adjurn.
