Minutes of the meeting of ,January 2, last , read and approved . Health Officers report for the month of december, read and filed. The amount of insurance to be placed upon the furniture and fittings -in the City Hall , was left to the Finance Com. , with power to act. Upon motion of Councilman Woodley the matter of drainage on west Gowe street was refered to the KXWb iX Committee . A delegation of Farmers , from the east hill , appeared before the Coun- cil in regard 'to the matter of better water service , and the matter was refered to the Water Com. , the Engineer and a Com. of the farmers , for investigation and report . Johnson spoke to the Council in respect to the flooded condition on his place and the matter was refered to the Drainage Committee . Request of Dr. Hoffman for a licit on Scenic Way, was upon motion of Coun. Naden, refered to the Light Committee . Upon motion of Councilman Naded the P & L Committee was instructed to investi-gate the trouble between the Yio t VMatchman and the Ryan Boys . The mayor , upon consent of the Council , apointed Mr. Chas . Botting, as General, Foreman to have charge of all of the outside work, at a sal- ary of $140.00 per month. Upon motion Councilman Woodley the l:iayor apointed Councilmen Hallock, V7oodley and Murker a Committee to investigate the advisability of purch- asing X- a truck. The Water Com. was instructed to investigate the sprinkling wagon question and the matter "of the City' safe was refered to the Finance Committee for investigation. No further business appearing; the meetin,;, upon motion did- then adjurn. City Clerk.
