Regular meeting of the City Council; --present *111ayor Leppert and Council- men Hallock, Hatt , 11urker , Thompson and Vloodley. 11mnutes of the meeting of Dec. 4th. read and approved. Street Committee reported , recomeriding that the So . end of State Street be not vacated , as petioned for, recoriendation adopted and request denied. Water Committee reported , recomending that the request of I!Ir. Alvord, for pipe line east of cemetary, be not granted , report adopted . Request for i%rater on north Hazel street , discussed and refered to the �7ater Committee for investigation. )'.roved by Councilman Tdurker that the proposition of the"Street Can" peo- ple , to place garbage cans on the streets , be accented; motion carried. Decission of the City Atty. , to the Park Board read and the Title Ins . to the property baught present and filed, and a vrarrent for $795.00 , in favor of Idr. Napier, ordered drawn and delivered upon delivery of the deed. City Attorney gave an oral openion on the Johnston L.I.D.11Iarrent ,� to XK the effect that the City could buy the T,Tarrent and hold it in some P�`und as an investment , and the Council ordered the warrent baught for t98.40 and held inthe P.R.W. Fund as an investment . Matter of a rebate to Mr. Barnes on eater application was discussed and defered to some other time for consideration. Water Committee recomended that an outside foreman for water streets and sewer work, be provided , and upon motion tli ndation was adopted. Upon motion I:.Ir.
