Report of the Police Department , for the month of August , read and filed. Hatter of a hydrant at the High School was refered back to the- Water Committee for further investigation. Upon recomendation of the Water Committee it was decided that an aa- ditional hydrant would not be placed on Naden Avenue. Comunication from the C.A& St .P. Ry. Co . , requesting the vacation of the west 20 ft. of Sixth street , from meeker St. to Harrison St . , was read and toe matter was laid over to take the regular course. Ordinance No. 507 , providing for the improvement of west Meeker St . by Sidewalk and Drain, was read and placed upon its final passage and carried .by the following vote, Councilmen Hallock, Murker, Morrill , Thompson and Woodley Voting "Aye" and Councili,an Hatt voting "Nay" .
