Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Leppert and Councilmen IIatt , Murfcer , Ifiorrill , Naden, Thompson and I'Voodley. Minutes of Jan. 5th. read and approved. Ordinance No. 502, Making it a missdemeanor to have in peepion any intoxicating licor, was read and placed upon its final passage and car- ried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen'present . Ordinance No. 503 , safeguarding fire aperatus , was read and upon mo- tion placed upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous rote of all of the Councilmen present. Ordinance No. 504, declaring intention to improve the south side of W. Meeker St. 'by sidewalking, was read and upon motion placed "upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present . An ordinance providing for the placing of a wood drain on No. Central Avenue was read and laid over till next meeting. Upon motion the matter of drain on No. Cent . Ave .' was- refered to ttie Drainage Committee for investigation. Petition of Property owners on Naden Ave . was read, in protest to tl.Le filling of the- W. Meeker St. drain. AnoL�the Drainage Com. was instructed to inves- tigate the mat ter of draining that part of the City lying south of j-eeker St. and, west of Naden Ave . and report. Pids were opened and read from several bidders on the new City Hall as follows: H. I. Allazu� $20538-00; F. A. Francis , $20409.00; Emil Pohil , $21000.'00; W. B. Erskin, $20496.00; and E. A. Knoell , $19561 .00. All bids viere rejected as' being to high. A letter from Mr. Sulliger was read in reguard to the sprinkling hours .
