Drainage Committee reported progress on the No. Central Drain, Com.
continued for further investigation.

Street eras authorized to investigate the feasability of placing a
post in the intersection of Smith and Central as a traffic regulater.
Orainance No. 499 , granting to the Kilwaukee Railway Co. the right to
extend the spur track on Second Avenue to the 11ortli Line of Meeker St.
was read and laid over laid over to next meeting.
Resolution No. 204 , declaring the intention of the City to improve
Vest Meeker street drain and sidewalking, was read and adopted as fol-
lows:
It is resolved by the City Council of the City of Kent , in Bing
County , State of Washington, that it 6o and it does hereby declar its
intention of improving Meeker street , from the west marginal line of
the Puget Sound Electric Railway right-cf-way , on the south side of
Bleexer street , to the west line of the City Limits , by bringing trat
portion of the said street to a proper grade and then placing a cem-
ent sidewalk thereon , six feet wide; and by placing on said south
side of iieeker street a the drain, not to exceed 16 inches in diameter ,
begining at the east marginal line of Laden street , and conectea r;itn
the drain at that point , to the west line of the city limits , all on
the south side of -Leeker street , and doing such other work as may be
necessary in conection therewith, all in accordance with plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer.
That all persons that desire to object to the said improvement are
hereby notified to appear and present such objections at ameeting of
City Council , to be held in the Council Chambers , in the City liall , in
the City of Kent , at b o ' clock p.m. on the 5th. day of June , 1922 ,
which time and place is hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
relating to said improvement , and all objections thereto , and for det-
ermine the method for payment of said improvement ,
That the City Clerk is directed to submit to the City Council at or
prior to said date , all data and information required by law to be so
submitted.
That the cost and expense of said improvei.,ent shall be borne oy ana
assessea against the property liable therefor as provided by law.
The Clerk was instructed to notify Lir. Tancred that two weeks from
to nigrit the Council could hear the dispute between him and the East
Hill plater Co.
