Kent , Vlashinrton , February 6 , 1922.
Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Leppert and Council-
men Murker , Morrill , Naden and Woodley.
Minutes of January 16 , read and approved.
Clerks report and the Health Officers report for the month of 29b.
January was read and filed.
Street Comm ttee reported on the proposed improvement of VenDeVan-
ter Avenue and other streets , recomending that the Engineer maice an
approximate estimate of the cost and report at the next meeting; recorn-
endation adopted.
Mayor reported for the Police Committee as to their action in plac-
ing a Night I:Lan on the force , and recomended that the Sal. oi* the Chief
of Police be reduced to $100.00 per Tdlonth; upon motion the recomenda-
tion as to the reduction in Sal. was rejeclted.

Clyde Shore , Resigmed.
Comunication from the Dept . of Public Worics of the State of Wash. ,
was read and upon motion the Council went on record as extending their
cooperation, in their efforts to lower the cost phone service.
Matter of a new City hall Building was refered to the Building Corn.
nor investigation,as to plans , cost and ect. with directions to report
at a later date.
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion, did then
adjurn.
