Gegularmeeting of the City Council , held in the City Hall on the above date; present Mayor Leppert and Councilmen Hallock, Hatt , Murker Morrill , Naden , Shore and *oodley. ` Minutes of the meeting of June 6tsi. read and approved. Report of the Health Officer for the Ironth of May , read and filed . Comunication from the Police Judge in reguard to the Luie Johnson case read and upon motion the Council went on record ae being ready and willing to back up the Police Judge and the City Attorney in the matter and they were authorized to contest the appeal of the came . Glaims read and allowed as follows: T. W. Bassett Atty, Fee , Luie Johnson Case $40.00 H. P. Rasmussen Fire Dept Exp. 5.79 J.A.Wadell % L.E.Price Street Work 1 .50 H. Rice Flusher Storage 10.00 J. R. Martin , Treas . Int. on 1912 Refunding Bonds 300.00 ' Trick and Murray Office Supplies 2.70 F. W. Went"orth & Co . Library Supplies 2.50 Frederick & Nelson Books for Library 49 .44 Ordinance No. 490 , making the Chief of Police Ex Officio Pond Mast¢r, read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and car- ried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present. Request of Mr. Chittenden for improvement at the irtetiection of Jason and James streets was , upon motion , refered to the Street Com- mittee , with power to act . Dr. MacGregor from the School Board spoke for sewage of the School property on Central Avenue and upon motion the City Atty. was directed r to prepare a resolution of intention to make local improvement for action of the Council at the next meeting. Upon motion the Council went on record as approving the action of the Park Board in buying four acres for camp sight and recomending that they buye one additional acre . Mr. Al Christensen made application for a license to sell soft drinks and upon motion the application was declared lost by the fol- lowing vote , Councilmen Ilatt , 'Toodley and Morrill voting "Aye" , and Councilmen Murker and Shore voting "Nay" and Councilmen Hallock and Naden not voting. No further business appearing the Meeting , upon motion did then adjurn. City Clerk.
