Kent , Washington , September 7 , 1920.
Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Fulp and Council-
men Asselstine , Gould , Hatt , Madison , Murker and Naden.
Minutes of August 16 , read and approved.
Resolutions of the Womans Improvement Club , in reguard to the
Improvement of Parke and Parking Strips , read and refered to tie Park
Poard and to the Street Commitee .
Upon motion the Clerk was instructed to have the bushes and grass
cut off of the side^ralks , inhere necessary.
A notice was orderd published to the effect that the City con-
templated filling in the parking strips and charging the expense of
the work to the property.
Clerks report for the month of August , ras read and filed .
Upon motion the contract for concrete crossing at Meeker street
and Madison Ave . was let to Mr. Thoday for $110.00.
Mr. Asselstine was authorized to place danger signs at crossings
on Central Avenue , at Smith St. and Titus St. .

IT IS REROLVED, by the City Council of the City of Kent , Washington ,
that the follor-ing be and it is hereby declared to be an estimate of
the ammounts necessary to meet the public expense and expenditures
of the said city for the year 1921; and the receipts from sources
other than from taxation , upon the property within the said City ,
to-wit:

ordinance No . 474 , Providing for the improvement of certain
streets by grading and graveling, read and upon motion placed upon
its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the
Councilmen present.
Upon motion the deeds to right-of-may on Alexander Avenue r,as
accepted , subject to corections , and ordered ficorded .
The Engineer was instructed to have the gravel streets in North
Park Addition dra ged , also street croeeings in the paved district.
No further business appearing the meeting, upon motion , did then
ad j urn.
