The following Resolution releasing N. T. Barnes from his contract in sidewalk Dist ' No . 191 4 193 & 194 , and ararding the contract to J . M. Keating & Co . , was read and adopted . WHEPEAS N. T. BARi;ES entered into a contract vrith the City of Kent , dated April 8 , 1920 , for the construction of sidewalk as contemplated and required in Local Improvement Didtris !--c No . ]. .'l - 193 - 194 , of the City of Kent at the sum of $12041 .74 , and *VIEREAS the said N. T. Barnes has requested the City Council to be released from his contract , and that tiie eaje be let to J. M. Keating Co on same terms and for the same amount: 60 IT IS TIEREFORE RESOLVED PY TIfE CITY COUNCJL OF Till: CITY OF KEIJT: That the said N. T. Pnrnes be released aril the said contract be annia] 1ed , on his signing and executing a release and guarantee of same , and on hin personal indemnity to the City of Kent from all damageP that may accrue to the said City or to any sub-contractor or other person by rea- son of said contract having been entered into: and that the cont-rect for said improver.,ent , in Local Improvement P .etricts No 191-193 & 194 , be av,arded to J. IA. Keating & Co . .for the sum of $12041 .74, upon his exec- uting his contract therefor as provided by law , and filing a t_ond in the sum of $12041 .74 on or be `'ore the 15th. dey of May , 1920. • This resolution to take effect end be in force only upon the exec- utic of the contract for the said impro•7emPnts has been fully complied with by J,. M. Keating & Cr and their bond filed and approlred . Bids opened for lateral ser,er• , Dist . No . 195 , J . bfil . Ken.ting & Co . , for $2200 .00 , and upon motion the awarding of the contract was taken under advisement till next meeting. Bids for street paving , District No . 189 , J . M. Keating R Co . , for $17"0 .00 , and upon motion the contract v,as awarded to J . M. Keatinp; & Co. for $17500 . 00 .
