I.D. #145 , for the amt . of $2282 .40 , was read and upon motion ordered paid. Upon itntion the Council tool, a recess of fifteen min- utes recess , to give the Park Board and others interested an opertuni.ty to express their views in reward to the purchase of a park sight . After recess , ordinance No. 369 ,relatin6 to the con- struction and repair of sidewalks , was read and upon mo- tion placed upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present . Ordinance No. 370 , prohibiting domestic animals from runing at large , was read and upon itlotion placed upon its filial passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present . Ordinance No . 371 , defining; the duties of the Pond- Master and fixing his compensation , was read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carrl:,d by the unanimous vote of all of the Courici linen present . Ordinance No. 372 ,xraking it a misdemeanor to interfere with the Pound Ma.sterin the discharge of his duties ,- was read and upon motion placed upon its final passage and carried, by the vote of all of the Councilmen present . The following resolution , setting time for the hea:r- ing; of the assessment role for local improvement dist . number 145 , was read and upon motion adopted. IT IS RESOLV9D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT , that the 2" day of Audust , 1915 , at the hour of 8 o 'clock P.m. , at the Council Chauber in the City Ha11 , 1 at Kent , Washington , be and the same is fixed as the time and placefor hearing on the assessment roll for local improvement district NO . 145 , for the Iliprovement of the water system by laying new rains from the reservoirs ,on the hill east of the city , to the end of the pavement on First Avenue and Railroad Avenue. That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to pub- lish in the official newspaper of the City of KOnt , notice thereof as required by law and the ordinances of the said City . Upon motion the Clerk was instructed to have a coal i� bin built that will hold at least 20 tons of coal. The Park Board iiade the following recoiiendations to the City Council , which upon motion were adopted, and the Board was authorized to proceed in the natter of the purchase of a park , at their discretion: The City will pay , for 'that portion of the Burk Estate lying east of the State road and north of the south city lilaits ,$150.00 -per acre for the hill land and $500.00 per acre for the botom land; 03000. 00 down , and ballance to bear interest ait the rate of 7; per annum, no strings or conditions to be olaced upon the sale , use or occupa- tion of the land whatever , except that the city will fur- nish waOtethrough the existing water system during the life of the Arney lease . Upon motion the hUyor and Clerk were authorized to draw a warrent , on the Park Fund, for the amount of $250.001 the same to be placed with Mr. Aust as a guar- antee of good faith and to be returned to the city in case the offer of the City is not accepted by the owners or heirs of the estate. No further business appearing the Council did, upon motion adjourn. City Clerk. i
