D . # I41 was read, placed upon its final passage and carried unanimously Bids for printing were opened and read as follows : Kent Adver— tiser I20 for first insertion and 60 for subsequent insertions; Kent Journal 350 for first insertion and 50 for subsequent insert— ions: upon motion of Councilman Fulp , the contract was awarded to the Kent Advertiser. The resignation of -Councilmenjumm=wA i,asmussen v read and uporl motion accepted. Upon ration the Clerk was instructed to order 5 to IO Cars of # 2 crushed rock for repair of streets . The street light on tree hill by the reservoir was ordered discontinued; also a toilat was ordered placed in or near the ,jail. f 181 Upon' motion a vote of thanks was anan i1gously extended to YX - E. w. Zereiter , the retiring Mayor , for his faithful service and helpful council , during his term of office gust ended. The Clerk was instructed to notify the N. P. Ry.
