Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Bereiter and
councilmen , Clarkson , Fulp, HardyMckinzie , Naden, Ra$nussen
and Tucker.

Minutes of May 5th. read and approved.
Finance Committee recornendPd that the Treasurers bond be in-
creased to $Io ,000. 00, upon motion the recornendation was ad-
opted.
Claims read and ordered paid as follows :-

The following resolution was read and unanimously adppted;
'Knereas , M. 10. Morrill ,former Mayor of the City of Kent
a
departed this life at his home in this City on the segenth
day of may 1913 ; It is fitting; and proper that recognition
Of the fact be wade a natter of record by this Council; Zt
is therefor resolved by The City Council of the City of Kent
that in the death of Mr. Morrill , the City of Kent has lost a.
faithful , careful and exemplary public servant and uprinht
citizen. His long business life in this City , and the regard in
which he was held by the citizens , is evidenced by his havint.

been a. member of the Legislature from this District , and having
served the City as Mayor during the years 1909 rind 1910 in a
very acceptable manner , Be it .flIrther resolved that these re-
solutions be entered as a part of the proceedings of this
Council , and entered at large upon the records , and that a copy
Of th' same be published with the proceedings of this meeting.
* Upon motion the matter of going before the Public Service Corn-
Inittee for a reduction of the light rate was refered to the
Licht Committee to take up with the Cornercial Club .
