Regular meeting of the council ; Present Mayor Bereiter , and
Councilmen Clarkson , Fulp , Hardy , MoKinZie , Naden , Rasifussn ,
and Tucker .
Minutes of February 17th- read rand approved.
Clerks report for February read ail,-,' to Finance Corn.
Upon motion the batter of laying; a pipe line on hill in Knob
hill addition to Kezit was refered to water C0111, with mower to
act .

Resolution No . 136 was adopted-
It was resolved by the City Colzlicil of FCent i:i KinL; County
State of Ilia shIncgton ) that it do and it does hereby declare
its intentions of irilprd)vinr the alley way running; north &

and the alley way connecting trierewity and runnins west to
a junction wit.r Second Ave:iue , also said i inprovemerit being
in block 3 Yeslers first addition to Vent . By bringing the
same to a proper grade with the contiguous streets , and
graveling the same the full width thereof with S inches of
crushed rock.And doing such other work as iray be necessary
therewith ,a.11 in accordance with -plans and specifications to
be prepared by the City Engineer .
That all persons who, may d.a.sire to object to the said
iiprovement are hereby notified to appear and present such j
objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in t1a
Council Chamber- in the City Fall , in the City of Kent , at 8
o ' clock P.M. ,on the 7th. day of April 1913 .which tilde and LL
place is hereby fixed for the hea.rinL; of all iratters re-
latin& to said improver:ient , airrd all objections thereto , and
for determining the nethod of payiient for said iiriprovement .
That the City Clerk id divested to submit to the City
Councilat or prior to said date , all data and inforharion re--
quired �-y law to be so submitted.
That the cost and expense of said improvement shall b e
borne-by and assessed agai�ist the property lible therefor as
provided by law.

The following Resolution # 137 declaring the' intention of
the City Council to make improvement was read and adopted.
It is- resolved by the City Council of the City of Kent in
King County , state of Washington that it do and It does here
by declare its intention of improveing a portion of the west
side of Central Avenue between Meeker and Gowe streets.
-By laying a two inch plank sidewalk 6 feet wide , with
proper approaches , strinE;e.rs and supports , along the west
side of block II , Washington Central Improvement Co 's First
addition to Kent , frohi Gowe street running nort'.1i to a junct-
ion with the plank, walk already laid at that point , about
I2ofeet .And doing such other work as may be necessaryin con-
nection therewith , all in accordance with plans and specifi-
cations to be prepared by the City Engineer.
That all persons who iiay deoire to object to the said
Improvement are hereby notified to appearand present such ob
jections at a Meeting oil the City Council to be held in the
Council Chamber , in the City of Kent , at8 o 'clock P.M. ontle
7th. day of April 1913 , which time and place is ]hereby fix-
ed for the hearing, of all hatters relating to said improve-
ment ,• and all objections thereto and for determining the
method of payment for said Improvement .
That the City Clerk is directed to submit to* the City
Coyncil at or pior to said date , all data and infot ation re
Quired by law to be so submited.
That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be
borne by and assessed against the property therefor' as pro-
vided by law.
• Upon motion the City Clerk was instructed to advertise
for bids for street cleaning for the year of 1913 ,
- Upon motion the water for flushing new pavement was left
to street committee .
Upon Motion the Council did then adjourn.
