Regular rieetin�; of the Council ; present Mayor Bereiter and
Councilmen Boucher , Coble , Fulp , Hardy , Harper , Naden and
Tucker .
Minutes of December 2nd. read and approved.
License Colruaittee reported favorable upon the applications
of J. S. Czerney , Peter Bartel , D. A. Stewart and M.bi.hyhra ,
and upon mot1.on the licenses were granted, and the bonds of
the above named applicataons wei°e accepted , as filed.
The following claims were read and orderd paid:

Assessment rolls for local improvenrelit districts Nos . 128
and 134 were read and , no protests having been filed , the
i same were approved by the passage of ordinances Nos 332 and
333 , respectively.
The following resolution setting tircre for the hearing of
assessment roll for local improvement district number 135 ,
was read and upon motion adopted:
IT IS RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT: That
the 20th. day of January , 1913 , at the hour of 8 o ' clock P.
M. , at the Council Chamber in t)je City Hall , at Kent , Wash-
ington ,be Lind the same is hereby fixed as the time and place
for hearing on the assessment roll for Local Improvement Die
tri ct No. 135 , for the improvement of Fifth Street , by buil-
ding along the east side thereof a standard wooden sidewalk .
That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish
in the official newspaper of the City of Kent , notice there-
of as required by law.

The Council canvassed the returner of the City Election ,
held on the 3d. day of Deceiiber , 1912 , and upon motion the
following resolution , in relation to the same was adopted
unanimously:
_ WHEREAS , on this the 16th. day of December , 1912 , the
Council in regular session opened and canvassed the returns
of the City Election , held in the City of Kent on the 3rd.
day of December , IyI2 , and on such canvass find that the
following named persons were elected to the respective offic-
es and for the respective times of office following , towit :
MAYOR E. W. Bereiter , for the term of one $yar .
CITY CLERK , L. E . Price , for the term of one year .
TREASURER , J. R. Martin , for the term of one year .
ATTOR1TEY, T. w. j7assett , for the term of one year .
COUNCILMAN AT LARGE , E. H. Naden , for the term of one year .
COLTNCILtviAN , J. L. McKinzie , for the term of year ,
COUNCILMAN $ H. P. Rasimssen , for the terra of 4T year .
COUNCILMAN , Chas. Clarkson , for the term of qj year .
It is therefor resolved that the City Clerk be and he
is hereby directed to issue and deliver to the several offi-
cers elect above named , certificates of their election.
Uptn motion the Clerk . was directed to credit Mr . Chas.
Stewart , on his water account , with the cost of putting in
the water iLain from the end of the old main to his place.
