Regular meeting of the Council; present Mayor Bereiter and Council- men, Boucher , Pulp , Hardy and Naden: Councilmen Coble , Harper and Tucker cowing in later. Minutes of may 201, were read and approved. The Clerk's report for May was read and ref-gyred to the Finance Com. Barnes, District No. 124 , 1411635.40 r r a r r 125 4 ,576.68 American Contracting Co. District No. I249 I4123.90 • • r 6 r 125 4:280.54 The contract , for both districts was ,upon motion, awarded to the American Contracting Co. by the unanimous vote of all of the Coun- cilmen. Upon motion it was decided that the contractor give a maintainance bond for both districts for five years. The Mayor appointed the following committee to see what could be don• in reguard to eliminatin& one of the Phone systems in the Citf: Hardy, Naden and Pulp. Wpon motion the Piro boys was given exclusive priv&lLges for the running of stands for the 40 of July. Ordinance # 301 , providing for the trimming of trees that over hang the sidewalk, was read , placed upon its final passage and carried ty the unanimous vote of nil of the Coundlaen present. Ordinance # 298, providing for the improvement of certain streets and alleys by placing lateral sewers therein was read, placed upon its final passage and carried by the unanimous vote of all of the Councilmen present. .l X111VC 43 Ordinance # 302% providing for the improvement of Railroad Avenue by Fading and graveling the same , was read, placed upon its final Passage and carried by the ltnanirpous vote of all of all of the Coun- cilmen present. IIpon motion the matter of settling with Mr. Decker for right-of-way was left to the Street Committee. The matter of the vacating of part of Shinn Street , coming up for hearing and no protests having been made , it was moved that the prayer of the petitioners be granted and 'the City Attorney be dir— ected Pa prepare and ordinance vacating that portion of Shinn Street described in the petitiOn and present the same to the Council at its next regular meeting, and the same was carried unanimously. The matter of providing a dog pound was left to the Police and License Committee. UPOR motion the Council did then adjourn, City Clerk.
