Mr. Stanley Stone , Attorney representing 76 people , presented a petition signed by his clients , noting that their main concern was the proximity of the substation to the East Hill school. It was pointed out that many children play on the school grounds even when school is not in session . Among those objecting were Mrs. Obee , Mr. Charles Aston and Mr. H. W. Haskins . It was noted that some of the residents felt that their property values would decrease if the station was built .
