Regular meeting of the City Council present T'iayor Tflooney,
Councilmen, Parsons, Pozzi, Scott , Strain, Thornton;
TlinutQs read and approved of the last regular meeting accept
the vacation of streets in the annexed area of the Titusville
Lodge, this petition was placed in the hands of the City
Engineer, and the Planning Commission for approval , and study.
City 'Engineer reported on the Reiten Road Sewer, that the
contractors were slowed up a little on account of water, and the
trunk was in.
Planning Commission did not act yet on the Titusville Lodge
reauest.
�'Iotion passed to pass the Public Service Commission waiver
for the R.R.Company on the spur track.
Motion passed to proceed with the spur ,track before Ordinance
becomes effective.
Councilman Scott reported that he has had three complaints on
Stokley' s overflow on to R.R.Ave. City Engineer to draw attention
to the screens at Stokleyfs in the sewer line to the Treatment
Plant.
Councilman Scott reports that the small building at the Plant
is completed, and the committee had not done anything on the
dump.
People living on Hilltop Ave. rf�quests of the Council to
dust oil their street .
Motion passed to have the street crew remove the hump on
the approch on Hilltop Ave. and grant the people to oil same.
Motion passed to have Mayor and Clerk sign Street Light
Contract,and Motion passed to adopt Resolution No. 386 for
five year contract on street lighting.
Councilman Parsons made motion and passed to award contract
to the low bidder on the Utility Building, after five minute a
recess for discussion on same.Payment will be as follows,
amount of budget to be paid contractor this year, and balance
of contract to be budgeted in the following funds , and paid
in 1958.
Letter of request from T,Zr. Taylor contractor on the North Ehd ` '
Water main, requesting his starting time on Contract when date
of arrival of water'^ ri.^e. motion passed to grant request.
Petition from Kent :Hurst.'.Addnfor Street Lights or turned over
to the Street Light Committee for study..
Petition received for restrictions on parking on R.R.Ave.
over two hours, and Pioneer Street.T.'iotion passed to refer to
Police Committee for study.
Franchise ordinance for spur track on South First Ave. placed
on its first reading.
Water application of TfTrs. Joyce Atkinson approved and present—
ed by the City Engineer and by Motion passed the council.
Letter read from American Legion requesting an exchange of
their property on North Central for a peice of Park property
on the Black Diamond Rd. for a consideration of � 1�,000.00 in
their favor. Motion passed to the Park Board Chairman find out
all the data and present it to the Council on the exchange.
I-lotion passed to accept sidesewer License of Martels when
Sewer Superintendent has approved same.
Stokleyts requested 4-40ft. drive ways through curbs on new
street improvement , City Engineer recomended same. Motion
passed to grant request.
Motion passed to set hearing on appeal of Planning @®ffifjsion
action on Perrins five plexes and tri plexes, for the First
Tuesday in September, and Clerk to give notice.
Motion passed to turn over 16.00 dollar water bill claim to
Chairman Curran, and not cash check untill settled.
Mayor entertained a motion to delete streets from the LID

Guiberson Street, and Alley From T.leeker To Smith, between
Central & State Ave.

Engineer and the Street Committee to work with the people
on $uiberson Street and Mr. Worth for the improvement of the

Motion passed to have ordinance drawn for the street LID as
deleted by the council, in regard to certain portions.
Mrs. Erickson and Miss Ramsay was at the council in regard
to line on James & Hazel Streets, they would like to have
.the situation cleared up as to the lines of the street, motion
passed to have the Engineer strai;;hten out the long standing
wherabouts of the street lines.
Motion passed to have the Milwaukee install wig-wags on their
Willis street crossing.
Motion n to the N.P.Railroad install Wig-Wag signals
on their Fuse l ave ., ,- .!.; _.;r-ossingsp where First Ave stops.
Motion passed to have -signs installed to stop parking on
20 ft. Paved streets.
