Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney Councilmen, Curran, Parsons, Pozzi, Scott , Shaffer, Strain, Thornton; Bids were opened on a fire truck, five bids received, American LaFrance "'15, 603.33 ; C & J Auto Sales, 15,463 .,85; Roneys, $15, 383 .70; Seagrave Co, Chevrolet chassis $15,672.68 Ford Chassis, $16,240.83 ;Howard-Cooper Corp. 1$14,983.33 ; Motion passed to award bid to the lowest-, bidder for 11�,983 .33. Howard-Cooper Corp. Two Bids were received on the remodeling of the large room and stairway on the second floor of the city hall, one from A.E.Henning for P,095.91; and one froaii McIntyre Construction Co for the amount of y$2, 635.00, Bid was awarded to the low bidder Mr. Henning. ,, Minutes of the last regular meeting was approved; Report of Officers, Budget , Treasurers and Clerkts Report of the -City Engineer, Fisher water main tequest, was discussed by the Engineer and he recommended that the 6 inch mains should be 'taken off the transmission main only at 4 miles and the points toe at 1/16th points or aboi.zt 1300 ft . apart/. Motion passed td approve the City Engineers report!-on the 61, water connections. Motion passed that the standards on outside mains he the same as in the City unless the owner of the main wi6hds;.to purchase and install a master meter at out main. Councilman Scott reported that the trunk sewer line was progressing O.K. and that the contractor would like the 60 day extension he Requested. Motion by Scott to extend the sixty day time limit, on the sewer job motion carried. Motion passed that if the reservoir is erected on the East Hill Property that they will be assured of a water connection. Motion passed to leave all details of land for reservoir up to the chairman of the water committee. Motion passed to have the name of Rock Springs changed to Clark Sp#.rings. Mr. Chet Woods asked permission of the council to be able to proceed with certain expenditures on the development of Clark Springs, without the approval of the council, because at times it made it awkward to wait# for two weeks, oked by the council. Washinton State Highway Engineers are going to have a school course at Seattle to teach better Blacktop pavfing procedure, it was recommended that the Engineer be present at the school. City Engineer recommended by otter that l''lrs Shipley be granted water connection on her line. Resolution read and passed the vote of the Council, No. 370. Motion passed to have the Clerk purchase an adding machine for the clerkts office to replace a machine that was old and giving considerable trouble , Motion passed to accept Hill & Ingman proposal by letter on the Sewer & Street LIDs. j Motion passed for the Mayor & Clerk to sign contract after the City Attorney reviewed it for legal aspects. Motion passed to have a dead end street sign placed at James Alvord. Motion passed to have installed four street lights on Reiten Road between Walnut St. & Chicago St. and have C�erk write a letter to the P. S.P.L.CO. for installation. Mayor Mooney appointed Neil Shaffer to be chairman of a co mittee on the Urburn Bill, and for him to pick a committee t e appointed at a later date. Motion passed to draw a Resolution to authorize Mr. Baffaro and the New Director of.
