Regular meeting of the City Council present I,1Iayor protem Thornton Councilmen; Curran, Parsons,Pozzi, Scott, Shaffer, Strain; Minutes cif the last regular meeting read and approved; Report of officers read and filed; Change order submitted by Chet Woods our Engineer on the trunk sewer line, this is change order No. 1-by motion passed the unanimous vote of the council. Chet Woods � 4m the Engineering Firm of Hill & Ingman stated that the Yeoman pumps that were tribe installed in the new lift station was tops for the job and the Yeoman pump that was in the treatment plant was out of place and should not' have been there in the first place, because it; is doing the wrong job. Mr. Mike Bigley made his report on the salable timber on the two water source lands that are owned. by the city, . he stated that at this time or when the price of stumpage rises to its natural price, we would have by thinning out about $24,000.00 �� worth of timber to cut. but Mr. Bigley stated that he would not w�I get in a hurry until the timber market got back normal again. , o� that it might rise to twice this amount.andewhen we get ready to sell we should engage a good timber cruiser, and have supervision WW in the cutting of same. Motion passed to accept the fine report oz_ and place on file. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to notify Mr. Bicknell of the P. S.P.&.L.,CO to have his crew install a street light on Hill- top Ave. near the North End. Report of the City Engineer that the sewer was progressing ok in Stoneburner' s and Drake' s plats,and the Cemetary petition for annexation was in order because it had up to 82% of the val- uation, but on Hauge-Armstrong petition could not report be- cause it had not been returned for checking. ,, and school board is going to have bid openning on the old school:i property on Kenoshia and East Titus Street, and they would like a meeting with Engineer and finance committee or some member or Council before the bid openning. Engineer and -Chairman of Streets, o Councilman Pozzi is going to meet with the Board on the Kenoshia street widenen deal. , LL�I Leiter read. from Mr. Andre the owner of our Bent Theater, he W . states that he would like the admission talc removed from the show, Wo that it makes a terrific deal for him,, because the County has removed WW the tax and a lot of other Cities and Towns in the State. 'lotion 0Z passed to refer to the Finance Committee and a report back at the 62 next regular meeting. Motion passed to release easements on the MxAlexander and the Malnoti places, that the Ranney Well deal was through with the test holest and to instruct the Attorney of the action of the Council. Ordinance No. 935 passed the unanimous vote of the council except Curran voting ney. Sewer pipe line agreement under Milwaukee Tracks, by motion passed to have the Mayor & Clerk Sign same. Easement clearence on property on the Hamilton Rd at the Molke rd. for old water pipe line by motion passed for the Mayor and Clerk to sign same.
