Regular meeting of the City Council present .Mayor Mooney, Councilmen Currant Parsons, Pozzi, Scott, Shaffer, Strain, Thornton; Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved; i Mayor mooney appointed the street Foreman Mr. Kendall to oversee the garbage crew, also the utility man that runs the street sweeper and takes care of the Sewer in- spections and plumbing inspections, and for the water Foifman to oversee the Park caretaker, who will work on the Parks and the water department, this action was approved by the council. Councilman Scott` reported that the flowmeter was working at the treatment plant now, and also consulted Mr. Krasner on the Libby ma-6er for a reduction in their sewer charge, he thought that the charge that Libby' s were paying was not unjust. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to Libby' s and state the councils action on the request for a reduction in their sewer charge, that at this time , the council was not in the frame of mined to give a redaction in sewer charges at this time, owing to the fact that we had a large bond issue against the sewer system. Roberts reported on the Wilson Well , with the effect on other wells, in the vicinity, and recommended that a well should be drilled in the south part of the City beyond the city limits where it Would not effect other wells. I4r. Pinketh of H.P.Pratt &, Co gave a finacial report on the water system, stating that we had enough resources to finance any one of the foul means of procurring more water. Engineer from` Hill & Ingan gave the council a recap on the prelimary report on future water sources, stated that they would check into a survey on our seperation of our storm water from the sanitary sewers. Councilman Curran made a motion and passed by the council to stand on 1iesolution 351, but eliminate section 6 of same. Motion passed to have council committee meeting next monday night. Councilman Pozzi reported on the drainage condition on James Street. Plan and price submitted on a council table by McIntyre Construction Co. for the price of $4.85.00. Motion passed to accept and award if cost is �480.00 including tax. Letter read from School District No. 4.15 stating that they will give deed to the City for 30 ft. on South side of James Street. Motion passed to instruct the City Attorney draw deed for 33ft . instead of 30 ft. Jaycees presented the memorial-Jor upkeep to the City said memorial is located at the ; ecreation Park on North Central Ave. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter, to the Jaycees with appreciation for the privilege of the maintenance on the Memorial that they presented to the City. _ t Motion passed to call for bids for 200 Parking Meters,bids e opened at, the next council meeting. Motion passed to purchase base radio station for police i department. Motion passed for the city attorney to get in touch with the C hief of Police on Drunk Ordinance, and East Hi-Wq and Obrien road to set speed limit and amend traffic code.
