Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney, Councilmen, Curran, Pozzi, Randall, Schultz, Shaffer, Thornton; Minutes Bead and approved of the last regular meeting; Carl Pozzi accepted the position on the council as was vacated by Joe Blessing. Councilman Curraw recommended the proposal of the Mayor for other source of water to be placed on file, with other reports of the water committee. Curran also recommended that the Engineering Firm of Hill & Ingoali be the choice of the Council for the work on Rock Creek, and as well as other projects, to further the work on the future source of water. , Curran also recommended some changes in their program. Motion passed to accept the recommendation of the water committee on the choice on the Engineering Firm. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to call for bids on various sizes of water pipe and fittings, for extension of water mains that are ready to be installed, such as Walnut St. , Lynch Factory, and etc. Letter read from Mrs. Sain4ti that owns property on North Central instructing the council o accept the size of curb openOings that the State Recommends, 25 ft. instead of the 16ft. the city recommends. Letter read from the Legion requesting drive in from park property, placed in hands of committee. Drake submitted an unnamed street extending south from Chicago Street , and requested that it be drawn from the sewer district, also a extending off from VanDevanter a street that is being used' and the taxes being paid by for Peterson and iviartin in the same condition, no action taken, and motion passed to have the Drake street be rejected. Mr. Thatcher city attorney recommended that an adjourned meeting be held Wed. Ovening so that hearing on LID230 be had .and that I the ordinance establishing the rates be set at the same time. Miles Drake reported on the suggested improvement of down town city streets, no action taken at this time. Discussion on the sidewalk and storm drain, and for the Engineer to see the . State Engineers and see what would be. the less possible improvement could be done and still make the Highway wofthwhile. Engineer- instructed to get information on street work on hill aer. a. Motion passed to pay all claims accept Ostruske-Murphy, and for Finance Committee and Mayor to get in contact with Ostruske-Murphy and see if they woulde7n make a settlem4ent with Mr. Johnson. Gib. Kendall requested of the council a Superintendent ' s Salary for his SE)rvices. Councilman Thornton to make a report on the situation the next meeting.
