Minutes read and approved of the last meeting;
Report of officers presented and filed ; Bud'T;(,t Clerk-Ts
Treasurers;
Water committee reported on the letter from Nr. Botch red
questing water for the Winsor. -Long Subdivision near Lake
Meridian, the water committee recomended that no further
4" pipe supplies be granted until we have more adquate
supply, and that we do not own the 4" pipe that they refer
to in their letter for a connecting points to our Mains.
Motion passed for the clerk- to write 7_Ptter to this effect
to Mr. Botch.
Councilmen Shaffer reported for the finance committee that
he has contacted II.P.Pratt &, Co for an idea on the cost of
a transmission .Line and development of Rock Creek for a
greater supply of water.
Councilman Curran read a _letter from the N.P.Ry.Co in re-
gard to the cost of purchase of land that contains Rock Creels
the total cost of the land is 116,000.00 and- they will start
drawing the contract if the city will pay "P4.,000.00. Plotion
passed to pay $)� ,000.00 on the purchase price, so the N.P.
will start the contract for purchase, the balance to be paid
when contract is complete without interest.
Walker addn. and Little addn to Kent .,;as presented by the
City Engineer, and all being in order a motion was passed to
have the City Attorney prepare the notices, and the clerk to
post same as law provides. , for a hearing to be held on
September 7th.
Motion passed to call for bids on the construction of a
Culvert on Smith and Kennebeck.
'Motion passed to place the water main-pd_a�12ft. from the
East Side of Van DeVanter Street.
Motion passed to have the city attorney draw a Resolution
for the adopting of a LID for the improvement of the alley
from East Meeker to' East Smith, between R.R.Ave. and Central
Ave. , and along the North side of East Smith Street between
R.R.Ave. North and North Central, improvement to be for
proper drainage and placing blacktop thereon.
Motion passed to have the City Clerk sell the LID 230-
Bonds across the counter.
Motion passed to instruct the City Engineer purchase three
sewer pipe plugs, for testing purposes.
Mayor Mooney brought to the councilfs attention that a
curfew should be studied, and a report made at future meeting.
Mayor Mooney reappointed Mrs. Betty Leeper to the Library
Board.
