Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney, Councilmen Blessing, Curran, Lamb,ASchultz, Shaffer, Thornton; Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved: Motion passed to repeal section 4 of Ordinance No. 796 master license for games of skill. Petition received from residences on West Willis requesting of the council a stop sign at West Willis and Naden Ave. to control fast moving traffics petition refered to the Police Committee. Letter read from the Pollution Commission in regard to Libbyls screens for their sewage, and stating that Libby' s would forward a set of plans to the city on the isetup. Motion passed to have the clerk write a letter to Libby' s requesting a set of plans on their screening process. Ordinance No. 8 3 read on its second reading for an emergency in the Garbage Department, hearing opened at this time, no one objected to the emergency ordinance, so hearing was declared closed, and unimous vote of the council adopting the Ordinance no. 883. Ordinance no. 884 read for the creation of LID 230 for the improvement of streets and alleys by sewers,wMotion passed by Ahe unanimous vote of the council by roll call vote, except Randall refrained to cast his vote, that this ordinace was being passed for the Health, Safety and welfare of the people of the City. Motion passed for the adoption of the Ordinance No. $$4. Motion passed to award the bid for the sewer construction in LID 230 to Kaser-Key Construction Company for the amount of $46.) 837.60 this bid is using JCcompond, and clay pipe. Motion passed to include in the amount $10,000.00 for the replacement of streets back in good condition and for the City crew and equipment to do the work. Motion passed to have a wall constructed on the north side of the small reservoir, and have city engineer design same, wall to not exceed $500.00 . Mayor Mooney announced that there would be a joint meeting at the city hall here in Kent for a discussion on power. Motion passed to have the Mayor and Clerk Sign Hauge Construction Side Sewer Permit. Motion passed to pay all claims except Elmer Beutler' s until it was OKed by the Chairman Park Board.
