Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney, Councilmen Blessing, Curran, Lamb, Randall. , Schultz, Shaffer, Thornton; Minutes read and approved of the last regular meeting; Report of officers read and filed; Motion passed to instruct Mr. Rude to have new drive chains j replaced on the street sweeper. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to call for bids on the Kennwood & Guiberson Street Sewer, this sewer tobe done on a cash basis, the money being held in escrow by the clerk. Councilman. Curran reported on the progress on the purchase of Rock Creek Property from the N.P.Railway Co, until they hear from the head office of the N.P. negosiations will proceed. Leber water line was discussed as to proper proceedure, and Councilman Curran stated that he was going to get in touch with Mr. Leber and get and understanding with him. Gardner & Hitchings Firm of Engineers representing the Lake Lucerne Water Company, would like to tap our overflow at the head works for a water source, the water committee was instructed to get in touch with Gardner & Hitchings and the - State Hydrulics Department , and make a further study of the situation. Letter read from the Engineers of the State highway Dept. in regard to the signs on Smith Street: and a Letter from the Pollution Control Commission approving the plans of a sewer line on Kennwood and Guiberson. Ordinance No. 868 read and by motion passed to provide for the assurance of sewer revenue bonds up to �70 25,000.00 for improvements to the sewer system. Motion passed to call for bids for the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant , . Motion made for the clerk to write a letter to all Industries in the City informing them as to the regulations regarding their solids from their processing to be screened. Amendment to the motion instructing the clerk to write a letter to the Pollution Commission in regard to a letter to the effect of having the Industries screen teir solids before it was sent into the sewer system. Amendment passed by motion, and the motion passed by motion, also in regard to measurements by installation of weirs. Motion passed to have Miles Drake certify to H.P.Prayt and Co to the number of houses that are and may be connected to the present sewer system, for the purpose of aiding the said Company to establish the greatest number of house on the system. Motion passed to have Mr. Shaffer & Mr. Curran look into the codifying of our city ordinances. Motion passed to call. for bids on a new fire truck and equ egtLipment as the specifications of the fire Chief called for. Also call for bids on fire hose.
