Adjourned regular of the City Council present Hayor T-Iooney,
Councilmen Blessing, Curran, Lamb, Randall, Schultz, Shaffer,
Thornton;
Councilman Curran acting in the place of the city clerk, and
the purpose of the meeting was for the explaination by our
firm of Engineers, the cost and proceedure of the Treatment
Plant. Mr. Livengston of Carey Framer Firm of Engineers gave
a full explaination of the plans and drawings of the purposed
treatment plant , he explained that the cost of power for the
plant would run about 33 ,600,00 per year for operation, and
the overall cost would be around ?16,000.00.
I-Ir. Kramer stated that the plans were submitted to the State
Pollution Commission for approval, but had not as yet been
approved by letter, but he did state that he had talked to "!Ir.
Eldridge Chairman of the Commission and he had stated that most
lik6ly they are ok, but for a few minor cb-anges.
Mr. Krammer presented the necessary specificationsjon the
plant. Construction costs %i26$,000.00 with engineering costs
and other extras, the total would be 316,000.00, 6,000.00
for water line to plant , and y?1,000.00 for power line , these
two figures to be included in the total figure of y"'M61000.00.
Brief discussion was had on the financing of plant , this
was brought out by I51r. Laury Pinketh of E.P.Pratt & Co, the
various ways of finance.
