Regular meeting of the City Council present Iiaypr !looney,
Councilmen Blessing, Curran , Lamb, Randall , Schultz , :>haffer,
Thornton;
T-Iinutes read and approved of the last regular meeting;
Reports of officers presented, and by motion placed on
file, Clerk's Treasurers, and Budget ;
Communication read from the Valley Cities requesting to
present topics of interest for discussion at the mcetinrrs
to be held this :minter, and attention to the Eovember l9th.
meeting.
Petition received and read for the vacation a portion of
an alley in TIc lillant s Addn. to lent in Block 5. Tlotion pass-
ed to refer the petition to the street committee for further
study.
1�lotion .passed to accept the garbage Contract as i-ritten
by the City Attorney, and signed by the layor and Clerk for
Mr. Erath to continue on the last contract let by the city,
until the city goes into the garbage hauling with its
own equipment.
I,1r. John Hauge offered ,'?1�0.00 toward the bulldosing of
the dump to place it in as good shape as he found it at
the start of his contract , this amount to be held out of
his next pay check.
Eotion passed to have the water committee negotiate with
the H.P.Railroad officials, for the purchn.s.. J-Jie property
that the head of Rock Creel: is one for future water supply.
I'iotion for fire department to purchase 200 ft. of 2.2

fire hose.
T,lotion passed to have installed four street lights;
North State & Pioneer, Chicago and Hillcrest Streets,
and two placed on Chicago Street between VandeVanter &,
Reiten Rd.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a .letter to
the State Highway Engineers in regard to the wrong markings
and no signs posted on the new pavement up Smith Street.
Recomendation. that the street committee get and estimate
on the Harrison Street Storm Drain for future improvements
of this nature.
City Engineer made a report on the cost of lowering
Guiberson Street where Kenwood insects, this improvement
would make a less grade on Kenwood, that would be a better
street for traffic. Motion passed by roll call vote to
have the street department engage a shovel up to j500.00
for this improvement , Councilmen Lamb, Randall, and Thornton
voted ney, and Councilmen Blessing, Curran, Schultz &, Shaffer
voted yea.
Recomendation for the street committee to work on a project
to have the State Highway and the N.P .Railroad Co. and the
city to get together and finance an under pass at Meeker
street and the N.P.Tracks.
