Regular meeting of the City Council present Nayor Nooney,
Councilman Rlessing, Curran, Lamb, Randall Schultz, Chaffer

Mr. Orland IIunt from the P. S.P .L.L.CO reported to the
council on the advantaSe of installing at certain intersections

notion passed to increase our liability .insurance , and the
additional premium to be about Q'12> .00.
Letter read from the Ii.P.Railroad in regard to snitching on
our crossings, the letter stated that the train crows was doing
every* thing possible to cut down the time they had to use the
crossings .for switching. Notion passed to have the clerk write
another letter to !. Kane of the N.P. railway Co.
Hearing was declared open for discussion on the annexation
of a portion of land along Sumitt Ave. Vr. Partridge spoke
against the order, i r. RcLecs , and Mrs. Ktella Fox also was
not in favor of the annexation, li. Partridge and IIr. FcLees
stated that if they could see a sewer system in the near
future they mould more or less go along with the annexation.
i'lotion passed for the reading of the ordinance for annexation,
Ordinance No. 862 read for the annexation ,and passed by the
unanimous vote of the council except councilman Randall he voted
no.
Bids for the garbage contract was opcnged and read, three bids
were received and by motion passed they were laid over till
the first meeting; in October.
Potion passed by the unanimous vote of the council , Randall_
refrained from voting, for the City Attorney to draw ordinance
for the pension part of the firemens relief and compensation
fund.
Fotion passed to instruct the city attorney to repaal the
Parking Ileter , and draw a one hour parking ordinance , after.

Ilotion passed to extend Pr. Partin P i lr. Rods retirnnent
for one year.

committees on Thursday Sept . 17, .
