Regular meeting of the City Council present Mayor Mooney,
Councilmen, Blessing, Curran, Pozzi, Randall, Schultz, Shaffer,
Thornton;
Minutes .read and approved of the last regular meeting;
Report of officers read and filed, Police and Library;
Motion passed to have the Water Superintendent purchase
8" cast iron pipe to 'run a line from Shinn Street North on
4th. Ave. 250' north from the main on Shinn, and also install
a fire hydrant at the switch tracks on 1�th.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to
Mr. Smith of the Association of Washin ton Cities in regard
to the action of the council on the codification of our
ordinances.
PaPk Board was in attendance at the council meeting and the
chairman Mr. Baffaro made a report of the activities of the
Board for the year of 1952, and plans laid out for. the coming
year and ask the council to approve same.1,7otion passed to
accept the Park Boards report and place same on file.
Motion passed to extend fire zone No. 2 as recommended by
the fire chief, and as a sketch presented to the council.
Motion passed to accept the recommendations of the chief
of Police in his annual report in regard to speed limits be-
ing raised from 25 miles per hour to 35 miles an hour.
Motion passed to have the street department place the 35
mile an hour where recommended by the report.
Letter read from the Milwaukee R.R. Co in regard to their
signals, and how they work.
Letter read from the Division of Municipal Corporations
in regard to office rent for the City Attorney.
