Mr. Landis talked to the council in regard to starting a Civil Air Patrol Squa�don at Kent , and explained in detail the workings of the organization, 'and what a great ben46fit it would be to Kent in case of ' a di`aLster, and requested b!f the council to approve the plan. Motion passed to instruct the Mayor and clerk to write a letter to the Civil Air Patrol stat- ing that the council would support the idea. Mr. Kingma & Mr. Clements from Kennebeck Ave. was present at the council rogue-Sting permission to hook to the sewer in alley at Kennebeck Motion passed to permit same if they had and would not objebt to any LID that might run along their property, this sewer connection would not excuse them .from paying any just assessment for a 'sewer in the future. Resolution m 331 adopted by the council to engage the legal Firm of Elvidge , Watt , Veblen & Tewell to represent the city in the damage claim of the State, with the alleged pollution op Green River. Motion was passed to have further study and consideration on the Damaage Claim by the 'State , until the next regular meet- ing. Motion passed to instruct the clerk to write a letter to the Association' of Washington Cities in regard to revising ordinances of the city. By motion passed the Mayor was authorized to write a letter to William B. Pond Supervisor State Parks & Recreation to make a survey in what was needed for recreation in this area, with no financial obligation to the city.
