Kent Washington September 15 , 1952
Regular meeting of the City Council present h,Iayor Mooney,
Councilmen Blessing, Curran, Pozzi, Schultz, Shaffer, Thornton;
Minutes read and approved of the last regular meeting;
Report of officers read and filed, Clerk' s Treasurers, and
Budget ;
Councilman Curran made a report on a meeting with the
Seattle Water -Dept. in regard to securing water from that City
if we so decided.
Motion passed to have the clerk write a letter to Tyr. Hauge
the garbage contractor, for the"Health & Sanitation commeettee11
in -regard to keeping the dump locked.
Motion for clerk to write a letter to the N.P.Railway Co
in regard to their crossing at Smith & James Streets, and a
copy to the Chamber of Commerce.
Ordinance No. 851 read and passed the unanimous vote of the .
council setting the salary for Treasurer.
Motion passed to instruct the clerk to i.arite a letter to the
City Attorney requesting him to be present at the council
meetings.
Budget read to the council as presented by the Mayor, and thh
Clerk was instructed to give notice of a hearing of the Budget
being set at the next regular meeting of the council 6eybber 6
at eight O' clock p.M. .
