Regular meeting of the City Council present Ilayor Mooney, Council-
men Blessing, Randall, Schultz, Shaffer, .
Tlinutes read and approved of the last regular meeting;
Report of officers read and filed, Clerk' s Budget Treasurers,
and Annual report of the Poliz-e Department ;
Tlotion was passed to table" the matter of selling the scrap
from the dump at this time.
Tlotion was passed to have a street light placed in the U on
Seattle Street in Tlillerts Northern View Addn. , and the clerk
instructed to inform the Poarer Co of lame.
T�Ir. Stark was at the meeting requesting of the Council. to
provide a turnaround at the end of hazel Ave. , that he would
dedicate a portion of ground for such purposes.-motion passed to
have the street committee loot; into the matter and report at the
next meeting.
Offer fnom N.Bloch £-, Co. of p69. 89 for the old boiler at the
Blue Banner Food to be removed for scrap was received, and
motion was passed to hold over the boiler sale for two weeks.
Bids were opened and read for the purchase of a police car,
motion passed to place in hands of police committee and repQvt
back at the next meeting.
Alayor instructed the sewer & financee committee to get in
touch with the engineering firm that the city had employed
for the construction of the seweage treatment plant , and get-
all information needed to move a. head with the project , and
report back inside of a month.
Councilman Blessing nominated James Curran as councilman
to fill the vacancy of �1dm. !ldams. :'lotion passed to close
nominations and a unanimous ballot Vias cast for James Curran
for councilman to fill 'une .pired term. , and clerk to notify
him of his appointment.
I�'iotion passed to instruct the clerk to send telegram to the
President of the United States and find out if lie encluded in
his approporation monies for the Nagle Gorge Dam project.
